Ramsay High School will retire Point Guard, Jaylyn Sherrod's jersey, following the New York Liberty's historic championship win.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - AlabaNews -- Ramsay High School is proud to announce the retirement of basketball star Jaylyn Sherrod's jersey, honoring her outstanding contributions to the sport and her remarkable journey from Ramsay to the professional stage. The ceremony will take place on October 29 at 6:00 PM in the Ramsay High School gymnasium.

The retirement ceremony will include speeches from coaches, mentors, and community members who have witnessed Jaylyn's growth both on and off the court. The event will culminate with the unveiling of her retired jersey, a symbol of excellence that will inspire future Ramsay athletes.
"We are thrilled to honor Jaylyn's incredible journey and her contributions to both Ramsay High School and the sport of basketball," said Dr. Carolyn Russell-Walker, Principal of Ramsay High School. "Her success exemplifies the hard work, dedication, and talent we value in our student-athletes."
